Hello and Help! - Adsense in TypePad blog via FeedBurner
Hi all;
I am new to this forum and looking forward to all the great info and possibly some help. My blog at http://lucymacdonald.typepad.com/positiv...tive_quot/ gets decent traffic and I am having a problem. I only get adsense on my lastest post. I post daily and when I posted today, yesterday's post loses the adsense ads. I've been signed up for adsene for a while and am using Feedburner to deliver the ads.
Any suggestions or ideas? I do appreciate your help!
Thanks

RE: Hello and Help!
Here's a follow up to my previous post. Now it appears that the second last post has an ad and today's post does not. Help!
Lucy

RE: Hello and Help! - Adsense in TypePad blog via FeedBurner
Welcome aboard to the Adsense Forums.
Where are you inserting the Feedburner Code for Adsense ; are the ads to be on the main index page after each post summary, or are they to be visible when opening a specific individual blog article?
How long have you had Adsense active on your blog? Keep in mind that Adsense will automatically limit itself to four ad units per page - this is part of their TOS but they have automated it as well.
I didn't notice any ad units at all when I visited your site... what do you have the units set to display if there are no Adsense ads ; a solid color, a public service ad (PSA) or a blank space? Try setting it to a solid and visible color to confirm that the ad unit is indeed being generated but that there simply isn't any ad inventory that Adsense will serve up for that post's particular content.
Cheers,
Rob

RE: Hello and Help! - Adsense in TypePad blog via FeedBurner
Welcome aboard to the Adsense Forums.
Thanks for the response to my questions Rob.
Where are you inserting the Feedburner Code for Adsense ; are the ads to be on the main index page after each post summary, or are they to be visible when opening a specific individual blog article?
I would like the ads to appear after each daily post however it appears from your answer below that it isn't possible. What if I restricted the amount of posts per page to four?
Also, not sure what the mian index page is.
How long have you had Adsense active on your blog? Keep in mind that Adsense will automatically limit itself to four ad units per page - this is part of their TOS but they have automated it as well.
I re-instated the adsense ads about 2.5 weeks ago. I've had an adsense account for about 2 years.
I didn't notice any ad units at all when I visited your site... what do you have the units set to display if there are no Adsense ads ; a solid color, a public service ad (PSA) or a blank space? I changed the background colour on the ads to dark blue. Today there's an ad on the second last post and no ad on today's post. I'm not sure if it is a content problem because every day I put in the words "positive attitude quote" so why wouldn't they run the same ad as the day before?
Thanks again for your help. I appreciate it!
Lucy
Cheers,
Rob
